Back To Front Exterior Design

Arts and Crafts Nr Reading Here is a house that had been much extended and because it was in the Green Belt, was subject to restrictions on the amount of development allowed. The lack of balance to the front elevation was part of the problem along with the very uninteresting materials used. Especially the windows and roofing tiles. Internally the reception rooms were narrow and led through one another. The kitchen was dark and pokey. We have cleared away the small rooms to create a large family kitchen with an informal sitting room off. The reception rooms now are better proportioned and a new hallway prevents the need to walk through rooms to get to the Lounge. Upstairs the bedrooms have been reconfigured to create a master bed and en-suite with a similar guest suite with 2 further bedrooms.
